During the week, we made a little Christmas surprise for Mrs. Burkett's mistletoes...hee hee hee!
The kids had to bring $5 for a Chick-fil-A meal (yum!) & a $5 wrapped book for a friend
This precious angel couldn't wait to start partying...
I think Mrs. Burkett liked her gift & card!
After eating, it was time for games. The 1st was throwing "snowballs" (marshmallows) through the snowman. Tanner was the 1st (& one of the few) to actually get all of his in there. Must be that athleticism (from BOTH parents) pumping through his veins...
Next, they had a dab of Vaseline put on their noses & had to dive into the bowl to get a nose. The bonus was to get a red Rudolph nose because there were just a few of those in a sea of white ones. Mrs. Burkett had to go first!
I tried to nudge him into it, but Tanner opted out of these activity!
Next, the kids were put into groups & had to use toilet paper & accessories to make snowmen out of some of the parents.
Finally, it was time for the book swap. I think the kindergarteners were a little confused about this process...many of them thought they would be getting their own books back. The room mom led them in a game where they passed the books around the circle until the music stopped. The book they ended up with was their new present!
I think the child without the book was the most excited! Ha!!
Somebody was not happy with his book, even though the "Bad Kitty" series is so funny! We had to have a quick talk about being appreciative about what you get...sigh. He wasn't the worse though; one child wouldn't take his new book at all & one went & sat in the corner (voluntarily) & cried. Good ole kindergarten.
I must mention the life of the party...her name is Kallie.
What's a party without dessert?! White powered doughnuts & candy accessories provided for yummy snowmen! This was one of Tanner's favorite parts & a great end to the party!!
Merry Kindergarten Christmas!
