We gathered in the players' lounge for the 1st part of the party - food, TVs, & games
(shout out to my wonderful hubby, sons, mom, sis, & bro for all their help!!)
Tanner gets his Daddy's field/sideline credentials after each game. He loves to wear them because they make him feel like a real coach! Most of them were on display on this table.
I made Tanner his own special credentials for the night :)
Cake flavor was strawberry as requested by Tanner!!
The runningbacks stopped by to hang out with Tanner for a bit. So sweet of them!!
And SouthPaw, our mascot, even stopped by to play. He caused lots of trouble...smh.
A certain birthday boy did not want to stop playing (he was totally amped up by this point) to take the obligatory family pic...
Tim's cousin Bre was a big help w/ Kallie!
my sis/BFF/twin/mom-to-be who's making me an aunt this fall!!!!
Mrs. Elise (aka Mrs. Berlise), our HC's wife & one of Tanner's faves!
Terrance, Tanner's fave RB/Jag
After hanging out & eating in the players' lounge, Coach Bowens led the crew on a tour of the fieldhouse. The parents were more excited than the kids!
They saw the coaches' offices & meeting rooms, as well as the cool pics on the walls. Then they got to watch a couple highlight films in the team room!
Then they checked out the weight room. Everyone got to experience the power plate!
Next was the locker room, which left everyone in awe! Ha!!
The final stop was the practice field, complete with lights & music coming through the loudspeakers. We gave the kids footballs to run around & play with.
After the super cool tour, we all headed back to the lounge to sing "Happy Birthday" & have cake & ice cream!
Tanner was excited to open the cards & presents from his friends after arriving back at home.
One of the coolest things he got was a USA bean bag toss game (like you see at many tailgates) from Coach Jones & Mrs. Berlise. He loved it & we all had to participate in a tournament that night...(& there have been many more since!)
Tanner sure is a blessed little guy. He had so many family members, school friends, & football friends come to our home & to his party to celebrate his 6th birthday. And he racked up in the gift department - his wallet is a little thicker & he has some cool new gadgets. But, I would say those of us who are fortunate enough to have this dude in our lives are even more blessed.
What an awesome idea! I'm totally stealing this (although I could never be as cute and as crafty as you are). ;) Happy bday, Tanner!
