Breakfast With Our Buds

Before we headed to north Alabama last week for the 4th of July holiday, we had breakfast with some of our old football friends who were passing through town.
Our hubbies coached together at UAB, but their family now lives in Jacksonville, Florida. 
Tim sees them at least once or twice a year when he's on the road recruiting, but the rest of us haven't seen each other in years!
We keep in touch through calls, texts, & social media, but were excited to catch up in person.
It was so nice to enjoy a delicious meal & plenty of laughs with the Lewises - just like old times!

More Beach Bumming...

After taking care of several Monday morning errands (last week), we headed back to our fave spot for more beach bumming . . .

Different Day, Same Shirt?!

10 months out of the year, I'm a real stickler for what my boys wear (translation: I pick everything out & color coordinate), but I'm much more laidback during the summer. :)
Unless we're going somewhere special, I actually let them choose their own clothes!

Well, this little dude chooses to rotate between these 2 outfits EVERY SINGLE DAY!!

Different day, same outfits. Hey, it's summer . . . why not?!
I pick my battles.

On a slightly different note, I wear a lot of the same shirts/outfits as well -- but it's because this belly limits my choices! :(
I haven't done an update in a few weeks (hard to get to it . . . ), but I'm 23 weeks pregnant - almost 6 months! Wow, time is flying!!!

Life's A Beach!

We spent last Saturday afternoon at the beach . . . where else would we be?!
We just love packing up our gear & heading out for a day at the beach -- relaxing for me, fun for the boys -- absolute heaven & one of our fave places to be!

Guy Day

The boys had a little "guy time" with their new friend Taysuan (a fellow coach's kid) the other day.
There was lunch & playing around at Chick-fil-A followed by sports & video games at our house.
The football dads were away working camps, the 2 moms had lots of time to chit chat, & the boys played everything they could think of . . . Fun Day!!!

This didn't happen on guy day, but I just had to include this shot because I love it.
Tim taught Taylor to play chess awhile back & Timothy learned recently.
All the guys at my house are super competitive - no matter the game, no matter the field - so they have to be super strategic & super thinkers to win at this game.
They even practice & play on their various devices because they want to beat their daddy & each other!
