So, we got him the cutest little Elmo potty earlier this week so we can start training! Guess by the 3rd boy, I should be able to potty train in my sleep!! We'll see how it goes . . .

Potty Time
For the past couple of weeks, my baby has been holding his bottom & telling me "pee pee" & "boo boo". He even took off a slightly wet diaper, brought it to me & said "pee pee" & walked off. I don't think there are any clearer signals that he's ready for the potty!!
So, we got him the cutest little Elmo potty earlier this week so we can start training! Guess by the 3rd boy, I should be able to potty train in my sleep!! We'll see how it goes . . .

On Patrol
My 5th grader is a member of our school's safety patrol! 5th graders can be part of the patrol if they meet certain requirements, like maintaining good grades & behavior. Each of the 5 fifth grade classes has certain months to be responsible for the duty. Timothy's class started Tuesday and will finish out this semester. So proud of him!!
By the way, do you think he was embarrassed to have his mother out there taking millions of pics of him, during his morning & afternoon duties??? Or do you think he's just used to it by now?!?

Another big game weekend.
We had lots of family come to town to spend the weekend & go to the game - my mom, my grandparents, my sisters, 2 of my cousins, & my cousin's boyfriend.
Even in defeat :( , it was a fun time!

Market Day
/*The 2nd grade at our school has a community theme - our own small community modeled after a real community - and at the end of each grading period we celebrate with Market Day. Each student is responsible for creating a good or providing a service and operating a store. They use community cash - fake school money earned by completing classroom jobs - to shop at stores all over the 2nd grade community.
Mr. Taylor Bowens made cute gameday buttons & sold them for $5 each. We cut big circles out of posterboard, decorated them with team logos (UAB, Bama, Auburn, & Georgia), laminated them, then hot glued pins on the back. They were a huge hit!
On a side note, Taylor had several extra buttons left over & decided to take them to the game the next day & sell them for REAL money. He is a very, um, AGGRESSIVE salesman. One of his victims, I mean customers, said he told her the buttons were buy one get one free. She asked him how much they cost and he said the 1st was free, the 2nd cost a dollar. Nice trickeration. Haha!!
Needless to say he sold out of them. :)
