Bye Bye Baseball!

The boys' baseball season has FINALLY come to an end. We've had baseball practice every Thursday night - Timothy 5:30-6:30 & Taylor 6:00-7:00 - & baseball games every Saturday - Taylor @ 10 & Timothy @ 11 - since March! Today was the last regular season game (Timothy will play in the All Stars game next Saturday; we're still waiting to hear if Taylor's team made it to the championship or if he will play as an All Star) & both boys went out with a bang. :)

TAYLOR
Last year, Taylor played with the Sox & they were the season champs.  This year he played with the 2A Bucs, & the season didn't go quite as well, which was tough for this competitive child! He played hard though, & enjoyed every practice & every game. They were especially excited today because they won their last game 11-3, then partied & got trophies!!
Check out the cute third base coach . . .
TIMOTHY
Last year, Timothy played with the Yanks & they were also league champs.  This year, he played with the 3A Bucs, & things were VERY different. They lost every game except the last one.  Although losing week after week was hard on the team, they continued to work hard & you could see a marked improvement as the season progressed. Timothy learned what it's like to win & lose, & how to deal with both - very valuable lessons. We were so ecstatic with today's win; they ended the season on a positive note with an 11-9 win.  Then it was time to party & get trophies!!
Whew, reminds me of an old retired major leaguer I grew up with . . .

Timothy with his wonderful godparents, Steve & Connie Perry!
TANNER
This season would not have been complete without the Bucs' #1 fan!!! Last year, Tanner was an infant quietly soaking in the sights from his stroller.  This year was radically different! He cheered his brothers on, ran around (many times toward the field), rolled around in dirt and grass, drank from random cups left on the player benches, picked up & attempted to run off with all unattended bats, balls, & gloves, petted all dogs, & said hey & blew kisses to all spectators.  He was ALWAYS the dirtiest & most exhausted after every game. His poor mama usually ended up dirty & exhausted too.
