History Day

Students at Causey Middle had to complete projects based on the theme "Legacy & Leadership" for the school's History Day.  They could choose to write a paper, participate in a performance, design a trifold exhibit, or create a website.

Timothy decided to come up with a webpage all about George Washington Carver. Full of links, pictures, & information, it was REALLY good!! So good that he was chosen to participate in the State History Day.

Kallie & I accompanied Timothy to AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery) last Friday morning for a day of presentations, demonstrations, lunch, & awards.  My wonderful mom & sis met us there. We enjoyed having the opportunity to visit while checking out projects & cheering on Timbo!

while we checked out exhibits, Kosh & Kallie decided to play :)
After lunch, door prizes & awards were given.
Timothy won a door prize!!

Proud of our Timbo!
If you know Timothy, you know his personality. He's not one to seek out the limelight or enjoy being the center of attention. To stand up in front of others & share work & answer challenging questions being thrown at you takes a lot of guts; it's something that many shy away from no matter their age.

Timothy works SO hard in school. He picked the more challenging assignment for history day.  He participated in the state competition & handled those questions like a pro. My heart swells when I think about how proud I am of him.
