"We're Goin' to the Zoo . . . "

It's spring break for the Bowens Bunch &
we decided to take a trip to the zoo!

We sang the zoo song ALL morning & the WHOLE WAY THERE!! :)

 

Timothy had a good time (for a preteen), but I noticed 3 things...

1 - EVERYTHING smelled bad to him.

Everytime I turned around he was holding his nose

or had his face twisted up.

2 - He kept a keen eye on cages & displays to make sure nothing was getting out or touching him.

3 - Once he was hungry, the trip went downhill for him.

 

Taylor, as always, had a great time!!

He named every animal he saw & wanted to

touch & feed everything.

He has no fear & will try anything.

He fed a flamingo, held a bird on his finger, & rode a camel!

 

This was Tanner's 1st trip to the zoo & he absolutely LOVED it!!

He waved at & could name every animal he saw;

followed by either "Eww, that's nasty!" or "Aww, that's so cute!"

His fave -- THE MONKEYS!!

He also liked the elephants & dinosaurs. :)

 

The lorikeets were so cute!

They would wave back to you & perch on your

finger, arm, or shoulder!!

Someone just HAD to ride a camel!

We saw a little skirmish break out between the lions!

It was quite a sight to see!!

 I had such a teacher moment when I saw this Bald Eagle!

A Great American Symbol!! :)

Last stop -- Dinosaurs!

They moved & made sounds . . .kind of eerie!!

Tanner was not afraid at all & waved to all the dinos!

(Although he did keep asking "What's that noise?!")

Maybe his Blanthet was keeping him safe!! :)

And then we saw (& heard) this guy . . . T-Rex . . .

. . . & Tanner ran off screaming!!

After getting calmed back down . . .

We knew dinosaurs were here, so Tanner thought it would be a good idea to wear his dino shirt! :)

2 dinos at the end were spitting water on everyone! Eww!!

Couple more of these before leaving . . .

 

We thought what better way to end a fun day,

than by having a delicious dinner at Jim 'N Nicks!

Someone had SUCH a fun day,

that he just couldn't take it anymore!
