Oohh la la!!! Things got pretty fancy in 2nd grade last week!
Wearing fancy outfits, and using descriptive language to describe them, certainly put our study of adjectives to great use!!
Fancy girls, fancy boys, fancy teachers, fancy words -- dazzling ingredients for an enchanting, fascinating day!

Smart Boys

So I have to brag on my super smart sons!!

They have finished the first semester of school, & they both had STRAIGHT As for the 1st & 2nd 9 weeks!

I attended Timothy's honors day at the middle school last week.
He was recognized for being October Student of the Month, A Honor Roll, & Perfect Attendance.
(Side note: this was the first time the principal recognized perfect attendance; the 12 students were awarded a $10 iTunes gift card & Timbo was stoked!!)

I'm a super proud momma!!!
God might have given my boys their daddy's good looks, but He obviously gave them my immense intelligence. . .

Montgomery Trip

I was so honored to attend an education conference at Huntingdon College in Montgomery last week!
The conference was for high school students considering education as a possible future career.
One of our school district officials was in charge of a couple breakout sessions, & selected a Homewood elementary, middle, & high school teacher to go with him & speak on the panel.
We answered questions about exactly what teachers do & I really enjoyed the experience!!

I felt so official!! Ha!
