Trip to Kindergarten

Last Friday, the 4K classes from Tanner's school headed over to a local elementary school for a trip to see kindergarten! We were all there from 9 to noon & had fun taking a school tour, having a kindergarten lesson in a classroom, playing on the playground, & eating lunch in the cafeteria. Tanner was so excited to "see kindergarten" & is definitely ready to go back!!!
Can you spot my little guy in his jersey?

Lucky Charms

What a LUCKY mama I am...to be blessed with the 4 cutest, sweetest, smartest little lucky charms in the world!!
Kallie is teething, which means that she drools like crazy & everything goes in her mouth, including faces. Her brothers are hesitant to sit/stand next to her in pics because she'll go for their faces in a heartbeat (accompanied by aggressive sound effects) & leave their cheeks a slobbery mess! It is hilarious!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day (last week) from my charming crew!!!

History Day

Students at Causey Middle had to complete projects based on the theme "Legacy & Leadership" for the school's History Day.  They could choose to write a paper, participate in a performance, design a trifold exhibit, or create a website.

Timothy decided to come up with a webpage all about George Washington Carver. Full of links, pictures, & information, it was REALLY good!! So good that he was chosen to participate in the State History Day.

Kallie & I accompanied Timothy to AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery) last Friday morning for a day of presentations, demonstrations, lunch, & awards.  My wonderful mom & sis met us there. We enjoyed having the opportunity to visit while checking out projects & cheering on Timbo!

while we checked out exhibits, Kosh & Kallie decided to play :)
After lunch, door prizes & awards were given.
Timothy won a door prize!!

Proud of our Timbo!
If you know Timothy, you know his personality. He's not one to seek out the limelight or enjoy being the center of attention. To stand up in front of others & share work & answer challenging questions being thrown at you takes a lot of guts; it's something that many shy away from no matter their age.

Timothy works SO hard in school. He picked the more challenging assignment for history day.  He participated in the state competition & handled those questions like a pro. My heart swells when I think about how proud I am of him.

Silly Socks

Last week, Tanner's class learned about the sound & words associated with "s". . . & in addition to bringing in items for the word wall, they had a midweek theme day! They got to pull out & wear silly socks for Silly Sock Day!!
Tanner was very meticulous in choosing his outfit --
all 'S' things!
He's wearing 5...can you name them all?!
